Durham, UK Aug 24, 2016 Enjoyed our first Treasure Trail today - we rated it 10/10 (until we realised that we got the last answer wrong) - better luck next time! Fantastic way to see a city in a short time though.
Scarborough, UK Aug 23, 2016 Sun and sand - yay! Scarborough was nicer than we expected, the bus ride across the moors was beautiful and the children behaved like model children - what's not to love?
Robin Hood's Bay, UK Aug 22, 2016 Freezing cold and raining as we left the campsite for summer to appear as soon as we arrived at Robin Hood's Bay dressed for mid-winter.... Megan fell in the sea fully clothed and we had no spare clothes so had to run round the little souvenir shops and pull together an outfit for her to wear home which she did in very good spirits! Back to the campsite for a barbecue and pea catapulting!
Whitby, UK Aug 21, 2016 Fantastic day in Whitby... Whitby Fun Run.....Well done to Megan for winning the under 11 girls' race. Well done to Daniel who was only just behind her. Well done to Roger for keeping up with them. Well done to Tracy for finishing! Booooo to the parking warden for giving Bob a parking ticket for parking exactly where he should (later retracted). Captain Cook Memorial Museum Whitby Regatta Dracula at Whitby Abbey....hilarious and very entertaining performa...
Goathland, UK Aug 20, 2016 Boarded the train that starred in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone to the town that featured as Aidensfield in Heartbeat to walk the 'rail trail' to Grosmont, blackberry picking en-route before getting the train back to Pickering and then driving on to our campsite on the moors for a very wet and windy night.
