Having decided to leave Scotland for warmer weather we set off South in the cold stopping in Penrith and Lancaster to buy coats (but with no luck...) to arrive in Manchester in the early evening where it was warm enoough to go out for dinner in our t-shirts!

A great day of edventure learning about the Iron Age at the Crannog Centre with M&D practicing with iron age tools and M deciding that she wants some Iron Age tools for her birthday!

A fascinating tour of the power station built into the mountain this morning with free entry for Megan (and Daniel) when the receptionist realised that they had a World Champion in the building! On to Killin and the Falls of Dochart for the afternoon.

Woohoo! We have a world champion stone skimmer in the family. Big congratulations to Megan, under 10 girls champion....and congratulations too to Daniel and Roger who did very well in their categories! A fun (if not a little cold and wet day) on Easdale Island.

Treasures of the Earth first thing then shopping in Fort William and on towards Oban and the Isle of Seil to camp overnight before the stone skimming tomorrow.... on and on down a single track road through the rain - where were we going??? To arrive at a slightly odd gift shop car park where lots of people were setting up camp and Roger and Megan headed off to Easdale Island for a pre-skim Ceilidh whilst the sensible ones had an early night!
