On arrival in Antigua at 0730 decided we would have a quick breakfast and then as it was our last Caribbean island stop we would spend the day on the beach. Off the ship at 0830 we were met by the "welcoming committee " as with every port you arrive at. Asked around and two beaches were recommended, Dickinson Bay or Valley Church Beach. After a few minutes we were on our way to Valley Church with our driver Littleton four Aussies and four French Canadians. Arrived at an empty beach at 0930 which allowed us to get some great empty beach shots. Littleton said he would be back to pick us up at 2.30pm. We paid him $8 each per person each way, great deal. David, the beach boss, then sorted us out with sun loungers and a sunshade and that was us set for the day. Walk along the beach, swim, cool drink and repeat. We ate lunch at "Nest" having club sandwich and chips along with an Antigua Smile cocktail, Rhum, Banana Liquer and Pinapple Juice for bob.Littleton our driver arrived to pick us up for the return journey to St Johns and the ship. Arriving back at 3.30pm. Bob went up to the Sunset Bar for a beer and to wave good bye as we depart the Caribbean on our way back to Miami. We were planning to eat in Murano tonight but could not get a table, so ended up eating in Blu after a few cocktails in the Martini Bar. Linda the "Host" in Blu managed to get us a table in Murano for tomorrow evening at 8.30pm so looking forward to that. Fiona did not make dinner, so Lesley, Ian and Bob ate and then went to the casino for an hour. We met a couple from Asker in Norway
