Right, so we're in a little place in the mountains in Northern Thailand called Pai. It's off season (rainy) so v.quiet. Although it rained last night today has been nice and dry and fairly humid. We headed down to Thom's elephant camp and met Jumbo (well thats my name for him). It was amazing to be that clsoe to the elephants so when the woman was getting us up on it's back within a couple of minutes there was no messing about!! We had an hours ride in the jungle up and down massive hills and felt sure we were gonna come off at some point! We found that the further forward you sat the less painful it was but further back on its bony back has leftt me walking about looking like I have experienced a bangkok ladyboy!!

After the jungle ride we headed down the the river and the keeper had the elephant squirt water at us and toss us off his back into the VERY fast flowingf river!! It was an amazing experience and i'll try and get some photos of it up at some point.

Quinny is a happy little scouse cos Liverpool just beat Sunderland and we're off to enjoy a few more chang beers!
