Departure: Yosemite National Park, CALIFORNIA
Arrival: San Francisco, CALIFORNIA
Packed up in our best time yet this morning to get out of the park. Took almost 4 hours to get into downtown San fran including stops and stuff.
WE felt the temp changes as we arrived. and once we started our day in the city the wind was un real. So cold here. We have gone from burning heat to wearing jeans, hoodies and wind breaker jackets. We rode our bikes along part of fishermans wharf. WE did do a bit of walking and snacktime in Union Square which is where we thought we were going to stay. But we decided we wanted to be down by the water and parks and not be somewhere where we could shop!
WE were really interested in going to Alcatraz but to the best of our abilities we cannot get a ticket for the next 3 days. So we did a bit of exploring and went for a lovely seafood dinner right on the wharf. And our plan of biking some more of the wharf changed as it became even windier and rainy. Tomorrow we hope to explore a little bit more in the morning and then head up the coast.
WE are disappointed in not getting to do alot of the stuff we are interested in because of the weather. But we have gotten a lot of good ideas to do next time we visit. In the summer time maybe ....oh no wait .IT IS SUMMER! buurrrrrr!
Reminds us of Victoria just a little bit. Has a great Arts feeling to it.
