Bryan and Anna's Excellent Adventure
We are writing you from a tinny mountain village in Switzerland. The population is around 130 people and there are only 3 last names in the whole town! The Alps are all around us, the hill side is very green, and there are many waterfalls. From interlaken we took a train, bus, and a gondola (very high in the air). We arrived around 1030am, and we checked in to our mountain hostel, and then headed out for a short hike. The hike was practically straight up into forrests and then mountain meadows. We reached a little village which had billy goats and big brown cows with bells around thier necks. We continued up past the village a ways, and stopped to have a snack on a ridge with a panoramic view. We could not see the tops of the mountains well because the cloud cover. On the way down it began to rain and still hasnt stopped. ALso on the way down 2 of the big cows were blocking the trail so we had to detour around because they were huge with horns and we didnt want to get attacked. We also took a detour to walk under this amazing waterfall. It was really cool. Tomorrow we leave for munich early, and I think the rain is supposed to be going that way. Anyway we are going to try to find something to do today and keep dry. I have to say I do miss everyone being together for my birthday, but glad Bry is here with me. I also will miss my chocolate cake. Hope everyone is doing well. And we'll drink some beers for you all at the Haufbrahaus.
