Sunday 21st January
Well, it's been a while since the last update but we have been very busy. The reason that we have been busy and not been updating the site is because we have been planning our return.
We managed to get to our Health Retreat and survived the fasting and reached the point when we had had enough of the trip and decided to return home earlier than originally planned. At least I can celebrate my birthday at home now!
As I write, I am currently sitting in STARBUCKS in Braintree after flying home on Friday Night (19th) to our much missed house and comfortable way of life.
The trip was a fantastic experience for both of us and although, at times, it may not have been what we wanted, it certainly gave us what we needed and we have returned with new vigor and motivation for the new experiences and exciting times that are planned for us this year.
During the trip we experienced the highs of the beautiful beaches and sea life with the amazing food and weather in Thailand, to the lows of spending Christmas Day in a hotel room in Cambodia watching Christmas movies all day and getting upset that we couldn't be with our friends and loved ones. Never again!
We learned that, after all is said and done, England is not such a bad place after all and that knowing that someone is understanding you when you are complaining about something is a very fullfilling experince :-) Nothing more frustrating than trying to complain to someone who cannot understand you.........!
Not that I did a lot of that of course.....!
Anyway, the Health Retreat was exactly what we expected and although it was very tough, we learned a lot about our own personal endurance and the education on food and our bodies will help us stay focussed for the years ahead. It is surprising at what comes out of your body when you stop putting crap into it. The car gets a service, as does the computer, so it makes sense to give ourselves one now and again, it certainly works!
2007 is already booked as the busiest year of our lives with new business ideas, weddings and self-improvement courses already planned and these events will no doubt be added too by others as time goes on.
So, with our newly educated selves, Amanda and I wish you all well and thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all the emails and messages that we received during our trip, they certainly kept us entertained during some tough times. We hope you all enjoyed reading them as well as our reports.
We had a great time and will look back fondly, remembering that this was just the start of an amazing adventure for us and we look forward to 2007 with great enthusiasm and excitement.
Thank you once again and see you all soon,
Love,
James & Amanda
