Dear All,

Happy New Year to you all and thanks for all the messages. We have had a few phone issues so may not have got some of your messages or you may not have received ours. If this is the case then apologies buy HNY anyway!

We are still in Koh Phangan and really enjoying it. The Blue Lotus Resort where we are staying, recommended by Justin and Crystal from Canada (Thank you), is very nice and with a lot of english speaking guests it is very communal and comfortable.

Shana and Pong have made us feel very welcome and Steve the Cockney keeps us up with stories of 'The Good Ol'Days' back home in London. The beach is 10 yards from our door and the sunsets are amazing. Deep red and spread out over the sea, amazing views. The camera just does not pick it up enough to do it justice.

New year eve was manic. Haad Rin is swamped with 10,000 people and it is a wash with bars and music. The fireworks were great, from what I can remember, and we made it home via the Hot Dog Stand and the guy from Sweden engrossing me in conversation regarding Mr Bean and the great English humour, Nice!

Got home aout 0100hrs and hit the sack. Grateful to be too old to stay up till sunrise, unlike some of the guys here.

Anyway, everything is great, countdown to detox on the 7th and 2 weeks of no alcohol to clense the system. May not be able to update the site until we come out but we'll see.
