Monday 6th November

The flight was excellent once we got underway, 11 hours and EVA Airways are way above the standard of those supposedly top notch people at BA. We recommend EVA to everyone.

We didn't manage to sleep much, just dozed for an hour or so at best, watched some movies and played some games and waited 15 minutes for One person to finish using the toilet but hey, we lived!

Our sleep depravity allowed us to get into the Thai timezone and we thought it may allow us to get a good nights sleep tonight. The airport was spotless and efficient and puts the UK to shame. We had to wait for our bags but then jumped stright into a Limo Taxi and went straight to our hotel, The Lebua at the State Tower! A four star hotel that is more like 5 and our room is more like an apartment!

A living room, 2 TV's, large bathroom and the biggest double bed you've ever set eyes on. We are on the 22nd floor, balcony views of the river and all for 56 quid a night! The hotel has swimming pools, jacuzzi, gym, massages for 12 quid an hour, food for 3 quid a dish, amzingly tastey too. This place is phenomanal and we've only beem here one day!

As I sit and write, it is 0441hrs on Tuesday and the good nights sleep we were hankering after is not materializing tonight. We are watching tv and As Good As It Gets is on, Jack Nicholson in one of is finest performances! Anyway, feeling tired, Amanda is checking out all the hotspots for tomorrow night and we are looking forward to starting our sight seeing.

Leighton's Lines - In life, there are many decisions that we all have to make. Some are easy and some are not so easy and some are just down right impossible. I look back on my life and accept that sometimes I made the right decisions and other times I didn't, but I have no regrets about any outcome, because if I did, it would mean that I am not happy with my life and my place in the world. And I am!

We all have dreams and desires about what we want to achieve whilst we are on this planet, some of us achieve them, some of us don't, but if we never dream, we can Never achieve. Don't let fear stop you from reaching your goals. Try, Fall Down, Get Up and Try again! Never Stop Believing!
