Hello!! We've found the beach!! and what a beach it is. We're staying on a bay, south of the island, in a bungalow on the beach! But it was a bit of a experiance geting here: Our V.I.P overnight bus decided it was going to drop us off at 1am and not 7am - leaving us the choice then of sleeping on a tiled tourist information office floor or sitting in a cafe all night. We choose the second option and watched the 2nd lord of the rings films in Thai - a saviour! But when we finaly got here - we weren't dissapointed - its Beautiful! very small and everything made from Bamboo. We started our PADI course (Professional Association of Diving Instruction) this afternoon and hit the water for the first time tomorrow - We can't wait! Although our water experiance so far has been interesting to say the least! we heading out for a splash yesterday - and the dogs followed! freaking out we headed for a local ancored speed boat and climbed on board. we stood slightly worried, as the dingo like dogs cricled the boat, clutching a vest as defence! eventually they left us and we ran like fools for cover - dodging the black 'turd' like sea cucumbers as we fled! Feeling a little braver tonight we ventured out again only to greated by an attack of taransular looking crabs. Luckly Vee escaped the claws by doing instinctivly what can only be desciribed a tribal like dance whilst screaming words i didn't even understand! (the girls got talents i knew nothing about!) So Funny! Met some really nice (if a little interesting) people and are loving it here, still no rain but we wont insult by complaining :) Will give you all the gossip soon, hope everyone is well!
