DAY TWO
First of all i don't know why it says Tahiti...just does!
Woke up at the splendid time of 4.30 am, had a casual skype with mum, dad and sienna and then played cards with matt till roughty 7ish. yes i know sad. (ps i won all the card games!) We them managed to get back to sleep and woke up really late in the afternoon and decided to go and have a wonder. After talking to some random Thai people, we decided to head off to the 'Golden Mountain' where monks chill and pray a lot.
When we got there it was on the top of a hill which was covered in trees and flowers, it did look really beautiful. As we walked up, there were loads of wildlife, and Matt spotted a terrapin which was pretty cool. Between some set of stairs, there were some spiritual bells which me and matt probably played with for too long. When we finally reached the very top, there was an amazing gold tower which people prayed too and wrote messages on some red cotton which were messages to god. It was really nice as we saw some more cultural practices taking place, and i respected what they were doing.
After seeing the Golden Mountain, we got told of these giant buddah's that were literally round the corner so we headed over to see them. I think we got there after the main building was closed as we were the only people there but the golden statues were amazing. We managed to pose next to them and touch them because no-one was there to tell us off!
Once we had our fun with the statues, we moved back to Khoa San road so matt could eat some noodles. Because i wasn't too hungry i decided that i wanted a thai foot massage (defo think im over my foot phobia!) it was incredible! i was so relaxed, until matt came a took a picture of me half asleep haha! Once my message was finished we went to get a beer, i spotted to friendly faces and decided to ask if we could join them.
and im so glad we did as they were all lovely people and were from scotland and london. so they it was nice to hear some people speak perfect english! Some dude called Max approached us and showed us some amazing magic tricks! He did one where he made me write my name on a card and put that card inbetween my teeth, and then after he wrote his name on a card and did the same. Then once i took the card outta my mouth it was Maxs card which was crazy! And then another crazy trick that a random boy showed us was where he made a card fly round him and float in the air, it was mind blowing. Louise and Callum (the scottish people) took us to a bar that if we bought one cocktail we were allowed to dip out feet in the container of where fish were so they could nibble at our toes! (i swear my feet are going to be so nice when i get home!!)
After that we were walking down Khoa San road and saw like a lady boy convention as there were millions of them in a bar, was hilarious!! Callum reccomended that we should eat some fried up insects, but i refused as i had just ate my first pan thai which was delicios! Matt ate a meal worm and so did Jenny. But the worse was when all the lads ate a bloody scorpion! it was gross! They all said it taste like liquorice?? Callum then decided to buy some fried frogs, like you do. After that horrible, horrible site we found a bar and sat down and made friends with three lovely irish girls who were so funny and friendly! We then decided that we needed to go home as we had arranged to meet up with all our new friends at noon tmoro so we needed some sleep!!
So love to all and Good night xxxxx
