Evidenced by all the pictures and smiles, you can see that my friends Charlie, Jon and I had an absolute blast at the Trick Eye Museum in the Hongdae area of Seoul tonight. We spent a couple hours wandering around the museum trying to see how we could best use the pictures to make our own art. Every painting has its own three dimensional aspect or optical illusion. The hardest part was trying to figure out who would hold the camera because we each wanted to pose for every picture. The second harderst part was trying to control Charlie`s hormones and his desire to take sexual pictures with the little boys in the paintings.
After the main exhibit, we tried walking through the mirror maze which was essentially mirror after mirror after mirrow which plays with your brain. There is a sign that recommends you to walk with your hands in front of you but I took that as a challenge to walk with my hands on my hips. I learned quickly why the sign was there. After I bumped my head the second time, I decided to walk with my hands in front.
Last but not least, the treasure hunt kept us engaged trying to find clues to the answers. Jon and I completed our sheets and we each one a free postcard for completing our treasure hunt. All in all, we had a great time at the Trick Eye Museum. I recommend it to anyone going to Seoul. Bring your camera and friends and you`ll be sure to have fun!
