Bob and Nicks excellent adventures
Ok, so ive just spent a considerable amount of time typing this out already and then I f***ed it up as usual!!!So here we go again.
We arrived into NZ on the friday, after spending a couple of lovely days sampling the delights of some home cooked food. We arrived into christchurch and decided to spend a night in a hostel just outside the city centre. It turned out to be a bit of a s***hole and low and behold we had to share a room with a pair of dog ugly English birds. You just cant get away from them however hard you try!!!!!Christchurch itself seems to opitomise NZ as being a bit backwards. Its one of the big cities, but as far as cities go its a bit of a dump and can really only be classed as a second rate town. Having said that, the really redeeming feature that it does have is that it has the Alps as a backdrop, and is surrounded by hill after hill after hill. A bit like Matlock but about 100x bigger!!
Its just as cold as matlock as well!!
In the centre of Christchurch there is a massage parlour on about every street, the really seedy kind that are promoted by neon lights that lead you up a dingy staircase to meet your destiny( Which is probably a big fat, dirty Kiwi bird who could take on the all blacks single handedly). Needless to say we havent ventured in.
More to the point now, we only spent a night in Christchurch before heading out on the bus to the middle of nowhere. The bus ride was pretty cool, with what can only be described as vastness for two solid hours!!!!
we ended up in the middle of nowhere so that we could partake in a bit of WWOOFING, which stands for willing workers on organic farms. we got to a farm near the town of Akaroa and met wioth a man named Guy, who also had a full time wwoofer working for him called Fay. And from that day untilk the present, we have been working on that farm chopping logs for the fire, lugging logs around like donkeys and de-nailing a load of planks of wood. Its been hard f***ing core work!!!!!!!
He also had a b****** of a dog called Seargent, which is a bull terrier as well as a scary motherf***er that mithers you all day long.
Now, after all this working, with our bodies aching, it came to our last night at the farm last night. In honour of the occasion, Guy threw on a roast Lamb. Just as it got to eating time, with us absolutely starving our arses off, Guy came in and basicacally told us that the work wed done that day was s*** and it wasnt worth s***. Needless to say that pissed us off quite a lot and put everyone on a downer for the rest of the evening. Furthermore, we had to sit and listen to him rambling s*** for the rtest of the night as he sat and drank copious amounts of red wine, as he did every night. What a dick. But the experience was good and we got a bit of a work out and some mucjh needed exercise. Also the views are awesome around Akaroa and the banks peninsula where we stayed and so no complaints there!!!
Hope everyone back there is well and look forward to some more messages!!!!!!
