So after a wicked few days in Noosa we were back on the Greyhound for Brisbane, our next stop down the East Coast - thankfully only a 2 hour bus journey, which sped by thanks to biscuits and napping. Arrived at the Transit Centre in Brisbane about half past midday, where we faced our first challenge of the day (other than getting out of bed) ...turned out to be a huge interchange for all modes of transport and a bit of a maze - thought we would never find our way...

Noosa Arrived in Noosa around lunchtime after a short 3hr journey from Rainbow Beach. We had cleverly booked into a hostel, Halse Lodge, that was opposite the bus stop despite it costing us a small fortune - mind you, all the hostels here cost a bomb thanks to Noosa being a v.posh upmarket holiday destination for the rich and famous (plus Dan and I and quite a few "backpackers"!) and we were expecting an expensive few days. Rainbow Beach (24th - 25th May) Arrived at Hervey Bay coach station at about 6.45am and had to wait until 8 for our connection to Rainbow Beach. 21/5/09 Checked out at about 9:30am and sat in Picnic Bay playing cards before our bus back to the ferry terminal so we could get back to the transit centre in Townsville (named after someone whose last name was Towns, rather than just being a very unoriginal idea for a place name!).
