hehehehehe it's Alex here.. thought this picture was fitting as we are in Byron Bay where last week a kid got his leg bitten off by a shark and died !!! aaaargh. But on the bright side we are still alive and the weather is absolutely fabulous.. actually was until i wrote that and now it is raining torrentially!! aaargh again!

Ok.. so the plan begins.. we set off from melbourne at silly o clock on Friday morning to catch our plane to Sydney to meet up with mel and laura, so the original five could be reunited and do the east coast in style! No mega stresses on this flight all ran smoothly. well we all just slept actually and then we were in Sydney. We had a little wait in sydney before we caught our overnight bus to byron bay. so me and mieke snuck into the hostel we stayed in on our first trip to sydney we made tea and watched tv, while rach went and caught up with her good friend Zoe Starr ( sorry had to get the cool name in).. we met up with laura and mel and it was fabulous again, apart from they had forgotten to book their bus so they had to stay in sydney one extra night!

the overnight bus was long and uninterestin me and miekes slept and rach tried to.. we had lots of annoyin stops and i thought we were gona die as the bus swurved over the warning line into the hard shoulder!!! hmmmmm scary! we arrived in Byron Bay at 7am and the weather was glorius so of course we got into our swimmers and lay by the pool all day. the place we are stayin is amazing its like a little hippy retreat there is no tv room, but u can make your own dijeridoo.. sleep in a tipee, laze in a hammock by the lake! lounge by the pool or have your hair cut by a traveller as me rach mel andlaura did! hehe we have spent all our time here tryin to catch the rays..

yesterday we went on a day trip to NIMBIN or 'Little Amsterdam' as some may say it was very fun and we saw some random characters. we drove on a multicoloured bus listened to bob marley, rach swam in a waterfall and then we had a bbq! was a nice little day out!

so we've had a nice chillaxed time here in Byron bay, watchin the sunsets which are wierd as the sun sets over the land instead of the sea!?? hmmm me and rach arent too keen on that but its beautiful nontheless.. Tonight we are in search of the legendary pub 'Cheeky Monkeys" and we have some free meal vouchers woop woop we all love free stuff so much! we're headin to noosa and the steve irwin zoo tomorrow.
