The journey started off well with Andrea forgetting the kindle which had been uploaded with loads of books for the holiday!!!! Luckily Pam decided an early Christmas pressie was in order at Gatwick airport!!!!

Flight departed approximately 1 hour late. We have come to the conclusion Air Transat is the Canadian equivalent of Sleazy Jet....... very basic! Anyway the flight went well and without any hiccups.

Arrived in Toronto about 3pm Canadian time and checked in at the Hilton Toronto Hotel. Rooms are pretty swish and our bed is sooooo huge it can fit three! Pam tested this theory and agreed!!

Went for a Thai meal and was ready to crash by 10pm.

This morning we woke up around 6am and had a lovely breakfast in the hotel around 7. As it was Sunday very little was open early so Pam and Jill walked to the city hall.

We got the 504 tram to St Lawrence Market and ate lunch. We then took a cab to cirque du soleil which was AMAZING!!! Everyone had a fantastic time. Pam and Jill then retired to the hotel and Andrea and Paul had a nightcap in the hotel bar opposite.

A great day was had by all :-)
