Back in Black
I have 30 minutes before I pay another buck for use of this internet. Time starts now.
So, just been exploring Adelaide over the past few days. It's a nice, quiet town as I've said before. People are bronzed and friendly (far more enthusiastic than your average person in the UK). Half the population comprises Indian and Chinese people, which is proving for me a familiar introduction to Australia. Luckily I can understand the local dialect because my Chinese and Hindi isn't up to much cop.
It certainly isn't as warm as I expected. Being the beginning of Spring, the skies are blue, but there's a distinct chill in the air. Going for a run this evening with my Aunt's housemate, a borderline OAP who can run rings round me - as proved by the mountain biking experience a couple of days ago. I met him once 6 years ago and he annoyed the s*** out of me, being very opinionated and daring to say that only he knew what good music was. This time, there's far less of the opinions, but he does like the sound of his own voice a little. If you let him into a conversation he has a habit of carrying it on past it's logical conclusion. Still, he does get teased a lot by the three Aunts. When he announced that he'd have to stay overnight at an orienteering event at the weekend, my Aunt Charlottle suggested he should stay til Monday. Didn't give a reason: just insisted Monday.
What else? Ah yes, my perineum. My thighs didn't in fact ache after the biking, but the hard seat caused more discomfort for my precios peri that lasted til the next day. It's already taken a battering from my ill-advised reinforced boxer shorts (hommade of course). If I carry on at this rate, it'll be narrower than a coke fiend's septum.
Best sign off. These headphones I'm wearing are amplifying everything. It's like being Dr X.
Tony now has a pair of running shoes, a camera and a mobile phone. India, I've claimed back what's rightfully mine! Ha ha.
