Today I attended the first day of a 2 day seminar by Wayne Dyer, here at the Maui Westin, themed Mastering the Art of Manifestaton. Dr Wayne Dyer is a fairly well known author and speaker in the field of self-development.

I have been into his books and audiobooks for many years, and it has been good to experience his presentations in person.

After the seminar today the attendees were taken in three catamarans ... yes you guessed it....whale watching! We saw plenty of whales from the boat I was on during the 2.5 hours, but only a few were up nice and close. One in particular burst to the surface right at the stern of the boat, with much splashing and trumpeting, in what the captain suggested was a display of anger or territorialism.

If today was any guide, the first rule of whale watching must be that the best whale sightings are usually on the other side of the boat. Secondly, if you want a photo, you must move like greased lightning before everyone else jumps in front of you.
