This morning I walked down to the beach near me - boy was it hot and steamy.
It cooled off later when I drove up to the Iao Valley State Park on the western side of Maui. The interior of the Park is not readily accessible as it is mostly steep mountainside, but the scenery from the visitor area is rugged and breathtaking. It is by far the highest and wettest part of Maui.
After that I cruised down into Kahalui which has the island's main business district. I wandered into Walmart, which is like a bigger Big W, and CostCo which is like shopping in a warehouse.
I am getting used to driving on the wrong side of the road, but these Americans do lots of things different. Light switches are upside down and water taps turn the wrong way. And motorbike helmets seem optional.
TV is similar, but worse.

Julia Serafina Sounds like you had one of those days where everything considered "left" was in fact "right" - always makes for an interesting experience.
