Today we checked out the ancient city of Thailand by renting bikes which was a lot of fun and also quite scary!!
We left our hotel quite early and got a taxi to the bikes. When we first rode off I don't think any of us could even remember to ride a bike lol. There are no rules on the road in Thailand which is good in some ways but at the same time not great when you have cars and motorbikes coming straight for you. Everyone waits on you or let's you passed though which is good. When we signalled to go right that was very scary as there was traffic passing us on our side and there was also traffic coming the other side so we had to wait until there was space. We made it to the first sight where Yo, one of our guides, told us about the Buddha figures and also the temples and everything about the city which was once the capital of Thailand - all very interesting stuff. We went twice to two sites and then finally went into a sacred and ancient temple where we had to take our shoes off, I took lots of photos again :))))
Ben, the other tour guide also offered me to try an ice drink which tasted like sugar puffs or pop corn it was so tasty but very sweet.
In the afternoon we headed back to Bangkok by coach and we went straight onto Koah San Road. We went to subway to get something nice and then we had a walk up the busy street. We then went to our favourite bar which has wifi and then went back to our meeting point at 8pm where we got our coach and headed for the port which took 10 hours!!!!! Sleep time on the coach!
