Had a nice last day in Nha Trang met up with some people i had met in Hoi An and went to the beach again. Had a pretty chilled day but gave into a few of the sellers. Managed to get ambushed 12 times in 7 minutes and got some bargains! We all went for dinner at a lovely place where i had a triple burger with pineapple and cheese, very Vietnamese! The bus journey was fine, a sleeper bus and i was next to an Aussie and his son. Slept most of the way and arrived bright and early in Ho Chi Minh City. Slept until midday then walked intot town. The town here is crazy busy with as many motorbikes as Hanoi but wider wtreets to try and cross! Found a massive market but at every stall they grab your arm and wont let go till you look, very intense! Walked to the Reunification Palace, which was the centre of the South Vietnamese governemet and the end of the war was declared when troops from the North dramatically stormed the gates and raised the communist flg. I joined in on a tour and it was really interesting to learn the history of the differnt purposes from when the Fench ruled. I walked to Notre Dame the biggest cathedral here and found out that 40 per cent of Vietnamese people are catholic! The post Office was a really impressive building and walking through town i felt like i had left the poor country of Vietnam as the streets were lined with Gucci, Louis Voitton and the likes! It was an interesting walk and eventually i have made it back to the guesthouse after a cheeky KFC just as the thunder and lighting are starting! Heading to the Cu Chi tunnels tomorow so need to try and read some more of the book i bought about it!
