Day 1 we arrived mid afternoon tired and very jet lagged! hostel was ok although slight problem understanding us! so we set out to find FOOD and get SIM card for CAss's phone-what a task! no one spoke a word of english we ended up goin bk in twice wen they kept giving us the wrong sim card that wouldnt work!

Day 2- Forbidden City and Tian'anmen Square were amazing, and we started to get over the constant stares we atrracted by the chinese. hands were so cold could barely press the button to take photo on the camera!

Day 3 - Great Wall of China and the Ming Tombs. interestin bus journey to the tombs with chinese guy in front of you making repulsive noises whilst eating weird smelling sweets! ricg italian couple who bought somethin from every stall we walked past and a fat american guy who impressed us all by being the only one of the group to gind the afstest way down the great wall the rest of us failed the task and ended up walking an extra half an hour! we finally arrived bk at hostel at 8 pm with our feet and legs thumping from the 5 hours of walking we had done!

Day 4 - We decided to hav a well deserved lie in from our strenous walk the day before so we did our first lot of washing in the sink! relaxed and packed for the early flight the following day when we left the hostel at 5.00am!
