Today, we woke up at 06:15. We went to breakfast at 07:30 and got on the bus by 08:15. Then, we drove to Battery Park in NYC. We first went on the boat to The Statue of Liberty. We took pictures with the statue and the Manhattan skyline. Then, we got back on the boat to Ellis Island. We did the audio tour and walked through several exhibits, including a restored dormitory. It was interesting to hear the stories of different immigrants that went through Ellis Island. After Ellis Island, we got back on the boat and went back into Manhattan. We walked into Wall Street where we saw the Charging Bull statue. We also saw Trinity Church and the George Washington statue in front of the Federal Building where he was sworn in. It was cool to be in the financial capital of the world. After Wall Street, we ate lunch at Essex World Cafe. Then, we went to the 9/11 memorial. It was sad but also beautiful and a symbol of strength and perseverance. It was neat to compare it to the OKC bombing memorial. After the memorial, we went into the museum. It was sad but it was also informative and really well done. After the museum, we went to dinner at Southern Hospitality. It was good. After dinner, we went to the Empire State Building. It was breathtaking. I spent almost an hour taking pictures and just admiring the view. After the Empire State Building, we drove back to the hotel.
