On the 4th we headed off on the overnight bus to Chumpogn (wrong spelling!!) Took about 7hours and wasnt that bad apart from the cockroache that appeared in the night on the seat behind!! The guy behind chopped its head off but the thing still managed to run around with no head....gross! We then picked up a catameran to Ko Phangan at 7am and that took about 3-4 hours. Was REALLY choppy on the sea and unfortunately brownie went green and luckily had a bag.... Arrived at our bungulaows about 11am, quite sweet although the bathroon was outside! We were right on the beach though with white sands and hammocks and hardly anyone there. We all did a bit of sunbathing, reading and had some lunch...hard life!! In the eve we just had food at our place cause it was the kings birthday and everywhere was shut. Then watched casino royale before bed.
On the 6th, wed woke up to extremelly heavy rain!!Apparantely it was the tail end of the bad typhonne in the Phillipennes. not much we could do but read, do some sit ups and drink tea! Luckily the weather cleared up in the evening for the FULL MOON PARTY. We had a free BBQ at our huts and played some drinkinmg games with some ozzie girls, one had been working in chelmsford a few months before. At 10.30 we got a pick up taxi down to Had Rin, we were staying up the road in Ban Tai. stopped off at a warm up bar for a bucket before heading down to the beach. Was crazy!! loads of people, fire dancers, podiums and about 20 bars along the beach playing different types of music. Had a brilliant time dancing on bars and in the sand, chilling out at the Rock bar at the end which overlooked the party. eating pizza at 4am and finally retiring at 8am after watching the sun come up. Brill, one of my best nights ever!!
On the 7th didnt do much but sleep and swim and dinner in the eve at Had Rin cause our place had a power cut!!! had to get ready and shower in the dark...very weird.
