The next day we set off again first stop was Port Fairy on the shipwreck coast, we wanted to do the coastal walk but it was so windy we couldnt stand up! Then headed onto Portland which is the oldest town in Victoria. We drove out to Cape Bridgewater and saw the Petrified forest which is really old trees that have been covered in sand and limestone overlooking the coast. We then saw the blowholes there which were good cause it was so windy! Then we stopped at Bridgewater lakes and then at some caves called Tarrange caves i think. Then headed further up the coast and into South Australia which is 30mins behind. Went to a little place called Nelson for lunch and then to Mount Gambier and saw the amazing blue lake. This lake was so blue it didnt look real. It changes colour every november for 3 months from grey to bright turquoise. Also in Mt Gambier we saw a sinkhole which was caused hundreds of years ago and has now been made into gardens. Was really unusal like an open cave. Our final stop for the day was the seaside town of Robe where we stayed in a beautiful victorian country masion overlooking a lake. We had our own huge roon which spa bath! In the eve we went to the pub for seafood dinner and then had a few drinks in a gastro pub on the way home. In the morning we did the coastal walk of robe which was very pretty and finally we had hot weather! After breakie we set off driving through the Coorong National Park which is huge sand dunes that go for miles with lagoons and fresh water lakes all around. Was a lovely drive. Stopped for lunch by a lake in a place called Menignee and then for an afternoon smoothie in a town called Starthablyn which was like going back in time! Very oldy worldy but cute!
