Day 4. He said: today's the day we arrived in our destination resort by Villa La Angostura.

We had a big drive through the volcanic terrain of the Andes, saw amazing and horrific sights of lakes and streams being buried under volcanic ash, trees with their leaves burned off by hot ash, and many things just completely coated in a uniform grey blanket. It looked a lot like snow, but in a grim sort of way. After we passed through the ash cloud (the volcano is still erupting), it was like driving through winter, into spring and summer.

The actual resort is very beautiful, nestled in a valley, on the edge of a mountain lake. The pictures we saw kind of looked like Banff. In reality, it feels like Banff. Upon arrival, we we greeted with local chocolates and champagne and a "Congratulations." Today's photo is the view from our room.

I think they know we're on our Honeymoon. Tomorrow's plan: no idea. Relax, maybe. :)
