Thaila-beck: On travelling to koh pang yah and the full moon partay

First off, im so sorry about the title. So dreadfully sorry. i have an excuse. so here goes...

Me and jack just got up real late and found a bar with the best pool table in thailand, had a couple of drinks, and now I've got that feeling on the edge of drunkeness when it feels like somebodys thrown a warm blanket over my brain and it wants to sleep. Worry not because it won't. Ever.

So if you're up to date on the blog you'll know that me and jack were making to leave chiang mai. this we did but i won't tell you how for suspence. It's what proffesional writers do you know.

so we left chiang mai and after 11 hours travelling by an unspecified mode of transport we arrived in bangkok at 5am. we had come down with a couple of lads staying at our hostel in chiang mai and we shortly found that the only thing open was the 24 hour mcdonalds so in we went. we got coffees and managed to milk them for about 1 and a half hours. Mcdonalds coffee takes 2 to get warm though!!! (I know, frrrrresh. i should probably do stand up).
so after that we decided to look for the swimming pool on ko sarn road which had previously illuded us. (is anyone still reading after that crap joke, come on it must be 20 years old?) we found it but were told we had to buy a room. so me jack and the 2 lads did 100 baht each and got a pool for the day. Jack says "the pool was s*** guys". it was a pretty poor pool. but it was water.

so to get the next part of our connection we went to the *** station (are you excited?) we got on and off we went down further south. this was about 14 hours of interupted sleep but we did get extras and scrubs on the tv which was a result. in short we got to the island at about midday 2 days after we left chiang mai.

we ended up on the beach opposite sun rise (the party beach) as this is where we were dropped, about 5-7 mins walk from the action on the beach. got semi decent digs but for the full moon time 150 baht is a steal. good place. lots of fit girls there. dutch, aussi and german.
first night went out and got drunk and partied. secongd night went to bed at 9pm so hung over from the day before. third day was good, went to some beaches in the north on a moped with the 2 german girls.
that was nice the beach was really good, got a couple of piccys.
that night was the full moon and we went out about 11. got to the beach and wondered for a bit got even drunker and then i slept on the beach for 2 hours got up about 3 and the party was in full swing and i felt fantastic. nothing like a drunken power nap as long as you wake up before the end of the partay.

found keiron and rhianna and zoe and rachel from askes theyre well and then chilled on the be4ach 'til 9ish then went back to digs and got pissed on the grass for a bit. grat night all said. no calamities, no spiked drinks, no drugs or robbery horror stories. just good old fashioned super drunkness (also red bull).

The next day slept mostly then the day after hit the beach (by both day and then night) the beach was good that night loads of people with fire poi (those flaming balls on chains) and some thai guys with a fire limbo.

ko pang yan is a great place bit pricey and touristy but very party centralised and awsomely fun.

the next day we had a connection to phuket (Pr. poo-ket not Fukit)(boat, coach, coach, songathew)
Really lame connection left the island at 10 am had to do 6 hours of hanging around and got to phuket (another island but bigger) at midnight. booked into a place and had a bed each for once which was nice and slept for ages (also they had bourne supremacy on one of the coaches which was a result (thought of you mum)) and that just about puts us up to date.

Phuket seems nice but the monsoon has started and we were speaking to a guy in a bar who said it doesn't stop raining so we might make like horse crap and hit the trail if it doesn't let up. we'll go to a bit of thailand without too much wet. but we wanna go fishing and catch some bigg'uns. thiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiissssss big. sweet.
