Thaila-beck: On making like horse crap
Current mood: good
Well Phuket was nice. Nice and wet!!! HA. But seriously it was quite wet most days which isn't very funny. Apart from one day I went around the island on a rented bike and saw some monkeys in a mangrove swamp which was cool and also some great views from viewpoints. I can imagine Phuket as a truly stunning, Paradisial (word needs to get that in its dictionary) haven but nothing looks its best when it's overcast above, a shame really. As well as the weather its currently low season in Phuket (due to the rain) which added a bit of a depressing feel to the town we stayed in. I don't know if anyone reading this has been to a holiday makers town in the low season (off the top of my head I'm imagining L'estartit or Lagos or pretty much anywhere on the Costa Rica in the Winter) but they seem to have an oppressed vibe to them as if the town is mourning the loss of the Summer boom months...:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office">
We went out a couple of nights but it was nothing special nightlife wise.
Anyway however nice it could have been it was a bit quiet and wet for our liking so we made up our minds to go to Ko Samui an island off the coast we had just come from, so back we went.
Arriving on Samui we perused the guide book of knowledge and it told us that the best beach was called Mae Nam which means 'something water' methinks. we got there and looked around a couple of bungalows and settled on one right on the beach with space for me to put up my hammock (nice) space on the beach to sunbathe (yeah we have badass tans now. my tan line is sooo good. soooooooooooooooooooo good (at the moment)). Basically on Samui we have just chilled for 5 nights 5days (it's 5 to 5in the evening here on Samui). We have been out to neighbor beach Chaweng a couple of times but its a bit seedy and lacking in backpackers good at points though. On the upside I'm getting super good at pool at the moment.
Anyway, kind of got bored of Samui now and the nightlife and feel like another change of scenery (it's beautiful here by the way). I forgot to mention that from out bungalow we can see Ko Phan Yan the Full Moon Party island which we left to go to Phuket. The problem is Samui is a bit pricey and we haven't really met anyone here so guess what...
Yesterday we decided that today we would go back to Phan Yan for my birthday!
Party time baby, I'm going to be 19, HA.
Anywho I'm not going to talk to y'all for a while because on Phan Yan internet is like 3 Baht a minute and I can't be arsed with that (no offence intended). So I'll report back in about 3 days or longer and let you know how the birthday went and such. I'm off to get on the boat soon and don't want to miss it so...
Take care, and it easy. Stay cool, and in school. Love to y'all and to y'all a goodnight.
