A quaint little town an hour or so away from the Grand Canyon, that cashes in on the fact that it is on the historic Route 66.
Still, it's a lot cooler than Vegas as it's much higher up. Which was nice.

We treated ourselves to a helicopter flight over the canyon which was good...but also rather scary. Now, I'm not usually a nervous flyer, but this helicopter was all over the place (due to the thermals coming up from the valley you see)!
I won't be rushing to do that again!
Back on terra ferma, we then went to the South Rim to enjoy more of the same views....which leads me to one issue. Once you've seen the canyon from one viewpoint, it pretty much looks the same from another so it quickly felt "same same" which seems like the wrong thing to say the The Grand Canyon! (I'm sure it would have been different if we had been able to go into the canyon but we didn't have the time/money to do it this time round).
Oh well, a good excuse to come back again some day!
