Sooooooooo here i am in little Koh Tao (turtle island) - the dive centre of the world pretty much. I dont know wether its the right decision but im about to start my SSI/PADI dive certification! its costing a bit but it means i can deep scuba dive anywhere for life :)

The journey here tho - another story!! We (me and steve :P) made to Koh Lanta after a relatively painless 15 hour coach journey. The Island was b-e-a-uuuutiful, and the island was really quiet! So I spent most of the 3 days I had there lying in a hammmock and ordering Pad Thai. :D Man I love that stuff!! But in the end - I kinda wanted to head to a place I could meet like-minded people - unlike steve who was trying to deal with his mid-life crisis thorugh travel - and was truning sour in the process. So I escaped him...

HA!! we had an epic journey to Koh Tao. 1st I was caught off guard as my 1st mini bus leaving Koh Lanta turned up as I was half way through a large Chang beer.... so I got in looking like a complete drunk! caught two ferries across to krabi and then...... then.....

The man told us it was a 5 minute drive to the pier for the ferry.... so the driver told us to sit in the back of the pick-up truck - with our bags - I was well up for it!!!!! BUT NOT SO WHEN IT TURNED INTO A BLOODY 3 HOUR TRIP UP THE MOTORWAY!!!! going 70 down the motorway in the back of a truck was fun - untill we were doing it for 200 kilometers!

Anyway - it was fun - and im here now...

and oh shiiiiiiiiiiiiiit im late for my diving orientation!
