Haha! yeeahh - not bothered about spelling right now - anyway im blamming i om tha quaybords!
Oay - trying to remember what I have or haven't covered so far :P
The last few days have been a tad crazy - lots of moving around but we've been doing loooaaads of amazing stuff as we go! Every single day brings something completely new and even more amazing.
First things first tho - The day after our last day of trekking and the elephant ride, we had a day to ourselves in Chiang Mai - However, for me this had to be spent doing a Visa Run all the way from Chiang Mai to the Burnmese Border at Mae Sai directly north, because my Thai visa runs out on the 10th - so i neded the 15 day extension. It was kinda fun actually - managed to grab the whole of the back row in the minivan which allowed me to catch up on some Zeds :D. It all went pretty smoothly - just me and 5 others in the van - with one creepy pervy Canadian guy :S who kept going on about how he loves Thai girls... yeah he couldnt hide that.. :P
The thing was tho - although we, as a tour group, had the day to ourselves, our booked train journey back down south to Ayutthaya (The old capital of Thailand) was due to leave at 6pm - The visa run company told me I would get back untill 7pm. So I had to buy a separate bus ticket from Chiang Mai to Ayutthaya that would get me there at roughtly the same time. In the end - our journey back from the border turned into a race becasue the driver said I would get back for around 5:30pm instead! This was good - because I got a REALLY COMFORTABLE sleeper train bed for the 10 hour journey instead of a bus - but damn annoying cos thats 15 pounds down the drain!
Ahh well - made it in the end... spent literally only about 5 hours in Ayutthay cycling round the ruins, before Minivanning it again all the way west to where I am now! But O.M.G. - we were told we were staying at a 'Raft house' but I did not expect what we got! - we had our own HOUSE floating in the Dam - which was then pulled out by a tiny little tug-boat for a journey down the channel with some awesome views - all this perfectly timed for sunset! We moored up where there weren't many people and just jumped straight in the water! I have officially done my first back flip! (video to come)
After that - (today) we made our way to Erawan National Park and it's B-E-A-uuutiful waterfalls. They are split into 7 tiers and theres a path all the way up to the top - The water is the only cold water i've been in while in South East Asia - and its the best colour! - Turquoise, emerald blue perfectness :D I swam first at tier 4 - there were fish in all the pools all the way up to the top - I got seerriously tickly foot massage from loooads of little fish that pick at the dead skin :D haha! I was othe only one in my group that actually kinda liked it...
Anyway - the real fin came further up! - One waterfall pool was surrounded by mushroom shaped rocks that the water ran off. By the time I arrived there were a few Thai guys there jumping off the rocks - so obviously - with my6 new awesome skill of backflips, I had to show off :D This made me some friends - even tho we couldnt understand a word either of us were saying. But we managed to communicate enough to organise about 5 of us in a line all sliding down the mushroon rocks together :D I have a video and it will be up asap! :D Leg time at the falls!
Anyway - I is proppa ravenous! :D Food tiiiiime
