Hi Guys,

We arrived in Delhi at 6am on Sunday the 28th, it wasnt as hectic outside the airport as we expected but apparently it was only quieter as it was a sunday.

On the way to the hotel the real Delhi started to appear, There were old beggars with black faces full of dirt coming up to the taxi windows and people sleeping on the sides and middle of roads! The air was very polluted and there were lots of interesting smells.

The hotel we stayed in was quite basic but nice although child beggars pestered us as soon as we got out the taxi. At first its quite shocking but you actually get used to it.

Old Delhi was amazing! Its the busiest and manic place ever, you woulnt actually believe unless you visited! There electric wiring is shocking!!! The spice market is also amazing but almost chokes you at first and there are so many rickshaws and people on the road you need eyes in the back of your head, your lucky to come out without being run over. Ben nearly did which was actually quite amusing!!!

The roads and driving is unbeleivable, already half our tour which were in another car have been involved in a crash, but there all ok...apparently this is quite common which isnt a suprise!! We had a trip in an auto rickshaw, 4 in the back which was more like a ride at Thorpe park, scary but funny!!

We also visted a sikh temple which was actually quite interesting, this was in old delhi.

On Tuesday we visited Agra, first we visited the red fort and the Taj Mahal which was amazing...check out our pics...

We have stayed in some really nice hotels so far but we are trying not to get used to the luxury as im sure we will be slumming it soon.....we cant wait for the beach though and a beach hut will do us just fine!!XXXX
