Kalberri was our next stop where the temperature reached 40, we spent sometime relaxing by the pool and exploring the National Park on foot visiting natures window and the zbend. We also bumped into Kira and Kenny for the final time on our trip.....

We followed the coastal road out from Kalbarri, stopping at a number of really lovely viewing areas including the pink lake (check out the photos). After a few hours of driving we arrived at the desert Pinnicals which is an era desert with large limestone pinnicals. We watched the sun go down and spent our last night in the Wicked before driving the 100k into Perth stopping in the Swan Valley Wine region for a bit of tasting. The next few days we spent exploring Perth, including Freemantle or 'Freeo' as the locals call it, Kings Parks, Chinatown and the city whilst also enjoying our last few days with the family. Nikki also managed to fit in a trip to the Cinema on a girly night out to see the new Breaking Dawn film!

The West Coast of Oz has been a fantastic part of our travels and it has been wonderful spending time with a side of my family i didn't know enough about and some I have only just met for the first time. They have been so welcoming and generous to both of us it has been like home from home.
