Our trip to Laos was very stop and start, as we had to cross rivers on small ferries and changed mini bus about 3 or 4 times. The border crossing was very simple. We paid $47 US Dollars for a visa plus admin fees etc. Then a guy went off on a moped, and came back with it all done in our passports. Mr. Sam picked us up at 11am again and drove us to the Mekong River. Here we got on a boat which took us on a tour of the Floating Village, and Mr Sam came with us too. The driver asked us if we wanted to drive the boat, so we all did, and it was just like driving a car….
