After a great time in Rainbow Beach and Fraser Island it was time to hop back on the Oz bus and head south, next stop Byron Bay. We arrived in Airlie Beach on the day of the world cup final, which kind of out shadowed everything else the first night. We booked into our hostel called Magnums and headed straight down to the bar for some pre game drinks - which happened to be quite a lot as the game wasn't until 4am the following morning. Back on the road... As our flight out of Australia was from Sydney we decided to fly from Melbourne to Cairns and make our way down the east coast back to Sydney over about 4 weeks.
