Yesterday we followed the coastal road from Arcachon down to St Girons where we had a great lunch in another carpark. The weather still hadn't improved but we made the most of our time there. Later in the afternoon we arrived in Biarritz where we walked about the main centre and along the Grande Plage (main beach) in the pouring rain. Called into a cafe just off the beach for a nice cold beer and was served by a rude French woman. The only one we've encountered so far though.

Today we had a relaxing day despite the weather. We made our way back into the heart of Biarritz. Our first stop was the lighthouse and the magnificant views of the beaches. We sat and watched the surfers for a while then had lunch at a pizzeria. We then drove south to the town of St. Jean De Luz and walked along the beach.
