Today we left the homely comforts and our woderful hosts of Antico Cornio in Italy headed for Switzerland. What was supposed to be a 5 hour drive ended up being 9hrs, yes 9 hrs. We had to go through a tunnel 17km long, but due to bad waether and god only knows what else, there were huge delays. It took us 2hrs to drive 10km, you can just imagine how happy I was, my foot almost fell off as the car is manual. Once we got through the tunnel though it was easy. We had to change our accommodation and stay down the mountain as the last train up the mountain leaves at 4.30pm. Had a lovely, albeit expensive dinner, really too tired to care what it cost. Lovely motel right on the lake. Luzern is very beautiful and clean. All for now.
