Happy Birthday Siobhan!!!

Tuesday night we went out to a local guys house where he had taken a group of Americans who were our neighbours in the hotel. They offered us to join them at this guys place where theyd cooked up the catch of the day. it was so good, we had snapper and turbot.
weds we chilled at the split in the afternoon which was nice. got chatting to an english guy id seen when we arrived, interesting story. id only really spoken to his dad and the GVI manager that was there. Theyve bought an island and will set up a marine conservation centre and rent it to GVI hence why GVI manager was there. so got some contacts there!

Ok so finally left Caye Caulker yesterday after feeling VERY ready to leave. I got so fed up of the constant pestering of the men on the island, to me, they ruin the experience a bit, by putting a dampener on the end of our time on the island. they constantly harass women and i was walking on my own and ignored a group of them trying to get my attention and i got called an effing b****. I mean come on, im on vacation i dont want to have that shouted at me just cus i dont wana say hi to you. ignorant pigs. but that is them down to a tee. Chloe has similar issues with a guy called Bert. He stands outside one of the restaurants offering deals to try to get you in there, we ate there one night and he kept telling us how beautiful we were and all this bulls***. Well he wouldnt leave Chloe alone the whole time and she told him to leave her alone finally and got a load of abuse and he threatened to get her beaten up. Really doesnt do much for tourism. I wouldnt recommend going there as a solo female cus u stand no chance. apart from that s*** experience, we enjoyed our time there but were so ready to leave yesterday and i couldnt wait for the boat to depart in the end.
we got the bus to San Ignacio, i sat next to a gang member for a while and soon as i could i moved! he was so shifty always looking around and tryin to secretly roll a joint! and he had a load of weird tattoos on his arms. got such bad vibes from him!
Arrived in San Ignacio. Theres not much here to do in the town, only tours out of town and right now im not interested in doing any so just spending my time chilling in a hammock then will leave to go to Flores, Guatemala in the morning 2nd July. Belize has been a beautiful and hot experience but men are awful and spoilt the country for me.
