Hello, dont know if i will have much to write in this blog!!

Was so glad to leave Newcastle, it was ok but it seemed like a ghost town with not much to do! think i was feelin sorry for myself as i had a sore foot and had a throat infection so im sure i was quite moody!!!

Next stop was Coffs Harbour, which was about a 8 hour train journey up the coast. We were stayin in a place called Plantation hotel in a 6 bedded dorm but we had the room to ourselves which was great. unfortunatly we were right above a bar/nightclub which was far too handy! We were only meant to be there 3 nights and heading to byron bay, but that seems the backpackers route after sydney so we couldnt get a place, so stayed an extra two nights. Went to the beach one day, was gorgeous, quite a far walk but the town was much nicer than newcastle. Coffs Harbour was famous for its banana harvesting so there is a banana theme around the town, one of the attractions being the big banana! Throughout oz there is a few "big" things so that was one of them.

Arrived at Byron Bay on tuesday (even passed the 'big prawn' on the way through ballina!). I love it here. its a much smaller town but the atmosphere is great, so laid pack, full of surfers and hippys!! The hostel is quite nice aswell, though we're sharing a room with 3 men! All ive really done here is sunbathed on the beach, burnt my bum one day but im sure it will tan.

Sorry my blog is so short, ive just been enjoyin the easy life and lying on the beach, next stop is Surfers paradise.......no i will not be gettin on a surfboard, then onto brisbane where i will have to get a job!!!
