What a journey! we were so excited as we got on the bus...not anormal bus, it had 3 rows of bunkbeds and was so funny, non of this non reclining rubbish in Thailand. Ok, so they werent massivly comfy but a damn sightbetter than every other one. Just before we left the hostel in Hanoi we met back up with Adam, a lad from London travelling on his own. He is doing pretty much the same as us until Malaysia now so he was coming down with us.
We arrived in Hue and went to Hue Backpackers (the same as Hanoi Backpackers) we checked in but this time were in 14 bed dorm rather than a smaller one but still had a double bunk. Agin it was really clean, had its own bathroom in the room, free internet and the food was really good.
When we were all checked in we hired bycicles and set of to the citadel, which is the old part of the town were the king lived as Hue used to be the capital years ago. We biked around the outside and then payed 80,000 dong to go inside. It was a total waste of money really as the majority of it was just grass, but at least we can say we have been. From here we cycled along the river to try and find one of the pagodas but it was too far away to bike so headed over to the markets instead. The market was quite cool until we saw a huge rat just roaming around.
We were all pretty tired from the lasck of sleep so we went back to the hostrel for pizza and beer happy hour an to finally skype everyone.
That night we decided to play a few drinking games, this ened up with everyone in the hostel all round a tiny little table. We met a guy called Hugo that looked like Harry Styles from One Direction so when we went to another bar we managed to convince the bar staff it was him and they all got so ecited trying to take pictures and asking him to sing. We eneded up in a little club dancing away with the locals. I saw a group all playing pool so invited myself to play, it didnt lats long as i lost the game for the guy who was winning, he didnt seem to mad though. The funnist thing of the night was turning around to see James riding a Cyclo with the driver sitting in the front. He thought it would be better than paying to be riden to club so peddled himself.
All in all a very drunken but very good night.
We were only staying in Hue for one night as there isnot very much to do so the next day we woke up and chilled in the hostel before our bus trip to Hoi An. Thank goodness it was another bunkbed bus so we can nap all the way!

Grandma & Grandad love the idea of the bunk beds, perhaps Longstaffs would be interested? Take care Grandma & Grandad
