Day 1: Ok, so my first day in Thailand was all fun and games, but today we got down and dirty and started our first day of work. It is a 45 minute drive from our hotel to the work site. There are 13 of us that travel there - (our group, and our contact who works with Habitat here in Thailand - Melini) and we all sqeeze into this little red bus (as shown in the picture). I arrived in Thailand all good and safe. Now our build doesn't start until tomorrow, so today I had the chance to explore the city. Our hotel is in a fabulous location very close to tons of shops, restaurants, and tons of taxi drivers willing to take you anywhere you would like, for very cheap. A few people from my Habitat group were already here, so we walked around the city for a bit. I then got a Thai massage - which for one hour costed me about 9 US dollars....

I am here at the airport, quite early for my flight, just waiting to board my plane. I had to return my rental car at 2pm even though my flight doesn't take off until 6:20pm, but if I returned my car any later since I picked it up at 2, they would have charged me for a whole extra day.
