Becky Bravo's Adventures
Alright, today I was able to cross off states number 44 and 45 off my list. (Massachusetts and Connecticut) We got to Boston around 1:00pm today and had a wonderful lunch at a seafood restaurant. (No need for me to specify, but I opted out of the seafood and enjoyed a side of corn on the cob and mashed potatoes - my favorite meal ever.
By the way, driving on the streets of Boston was FRIGHTENING! I prefer my scary drive in the thunderstorn on the way to Albany to the freaky streets of Boston. Too many one ways and curvy intersections and traffic lights in the middle of curvy intersections. I am fairly certain I ran quite a few red lights, but we made it in and out of the city alive. And with no traffic tickets. So all in all it was a success.
We thought it might be fun to take a walking tour guide of the historic sites, but after finding out it was $11 a person, we did the thrify thing and bought a $6 book with descriptions of the sites and map, had Matt memorize the important facts about the sites, and made him be our tour guide. It was much more fun and we could be our goofy selved that way and do such things as taking inappropriate pictures at the site of the Boston Massacre. (Thats how we do).
We got to see things such as the burial sites of John Hancock and Paul Revere to the old City Hall and some historic churches, and many more other sites. It is crazy to think the Revolutionary War was actually fought on ground that we walked on today.
It was quite a fun and historical day. We probably walked well over 5 miles so we worked off that wedding cake which was a much needed task. And when we arrived in New Haven this evening, we had to haul all of Professor Dr. Matt McCarty's boxes of books up three flights of stairs. And by we, I mean me and Pookie brought up the food and suitcases and he carried up all his books. So we burned quite a few calories today.
Tomorrow is another early day as we all catch a morning train to NYC Grand Central Station. This is where I bid the McCarty's adieu as they are meeting up with some of their friends in the city and I will be bro-ing it up with my bro Jon. His band Luster is playing in Brooklyn and we are gonna take on the city until showtime. Who knows what wackiness will ensue.

Melle Belle Yes, driving in Boston is not easy. Can’t think of anywhere that I have been were it is worse. The city, however, is a wonderful place to see.Anxious to hear about your and Jon’s visit in Brooklyn.Stay safe in the Big Apple. Love, Melody
