Becky Bravo's Adventures
Today began early with last minute details for the ceremony this evening, but everything went off without a hitch. It was beautiful.
Now, Pookie and Matt have actually been married for two years, but had a super small ceremony and always wanted the big celebration. Since they lived in the UK for years, this was the first chance they had. I was so glad to be a part of it, Pookie looked AMAZING in her wedding dress and Matt is such the perfect match for her. He looked handsome as well.
Pookie put me in charge of the bouquets and centerpieces and I was a little bit nervous, but all of the flowers actually looked beautiful! She got them wholesale so we arranged all the flowers ourselves. Pookie did her bouquet, and I took care of Graces, my own and the extra vases that decorated the house.
Dana, Pookie's mother officiated the ceremony which was very meaningful and the couple wrote their own vows and ring exchange vows. We didnt think anybody would get teary eyed because they have been married for two years, but Dana got a little teary eyed while reading the script, and that got everybody going a little bit. But it all went very smoothly. Thank you to Matt's Aunt Pam who let us take over her house for the weekend.
Pookie made the Groom's cake from scratch, and I did the flowers, so we think we missed our calling in the wedding industry, I guess the world will have to settle for her as a lawyer and me as a....well....goofball.
Tomorrow is Boston and New Haven. Another early start as we still have to clean up the mess we made tonight.
