Ok everybody, I did it. I updated the blogs. Sorry it took me so long, but it was not for lack of trying. The first time I tried to do it, my computers wireless was not working. Then I tried to go to the internet café but my flashdrive wasn't working. Then I tried borrowing my friends laptop to do it on there, but the internet was so slow on the ship, I couldn't even get the blog page to load. The only time I can sign on and upload these pictures is late at night, like at 2 in the morning and I have been so busy at sea lately, that I just crash super early. So today we arrived in Hong Kong, I am just waiting for customs to clear the ship, and then me and my friends are off to the train station to catch the sleeper train to Beijing. That oughtta be a fun fun 25 hour train ride. I am pretty excited though. I will be off the ship for a pretty long time and I am pumped about that. Plus, I get to see the Great Wall! And sleep overnight on it! Yay! On Sunday night, we had our 'Sea Social.' We got to go to the faculty/staff lounge and dance and have food. It is just a cool thing they do for all the seas. Our theme was black and white so everybody got all dressed up. It was fun. So I included some pictures of that for you. My white outfit I got at the market in Vietnam for like 12 bucks. This morning instead of having a diplomatic briefing like we usually do when we first arrive in port, the Archbishop said a few words, said a prayer, and then we had a moment of silence for the shootings that happened in Virginia. There are a few students on this ship who are from there (I don't know any of them personally) and it is just a horrible thing. It was really great that the Archbishop spoke though, and the shipboard community is a very supportive place. So, I know I don't need to remind you, but keep the families and friends of those affected in your prayers, especially those who are all the way here at sea and have a difficult time getting in touch with people.
