Days 2 and 3
We were supposed to move early on Saturday but we did not set an alarm and did not wake up until 12, by the time we had packed and left the hotel at was already 1pm so we didn't really do much in the day. We did visit the travel agents and booked to go to the Tiger Temple, Bridge on th River Kwai and the floating Markets tomorrow and also booked the the train to Chiang Mai on Tuesday evening and the 3 day Elephant trek starting on Thursday.
The new hotel is a bit of a let down. The reception looks nice but the rooms are not inviting. We have decided to only stay here 1 night and move again tomorrow at 6.30am as the tour bus will be picking us up at 7am. The good point is that we are now on the Khao San Road where all of the night time activity happens.
About 8pm and we decide to go and book the new hotel and then head out for drinks. This is where our evening started to get a little messy.
In summary, it started out with a fish pedicure where the fish eat the dead skin off your feet to stumbling home so drunk that we couldn't stand and waking up to find out that we bought fake ids and are now freelance international journalists. We met some great people whos names are Canada, Tattoo Canada, Wales your shorts are too short, Sweden im not gay, - I just like Beyonce, Luton Steve - im not gay but I come on holiday with 3 girls and pretend not to want to sleep with any of them and London Lezzers and many more.
We get back to the hotel at 5am and are up at 6am packing to move hotel. This was not a good plan!
The bus collects us at 7am and we are both still drunk laughing at the fact that we feel sooooooo bad and the only seats are the two smallest seats ever at the back of the bus.
It was a very long day with many hours on the bus, feeling every bump and sitting at the back with the luggage! The floating market was good to see, the bridge over the River Kwai which Simon wanted to see was ok and the tigers were great, would definitely recommend this although it was a little disturbing that you had to sign o declaration that the park are not responsible if you get eaten or injured by a tiger.
We arrived to our new hotel at 7pm and were in bed asleep at 8pm.
Hopefully a much easier day today.
