Well on arrival we were slightly disappointed with the hot springs - we had pictured these lushious hot pools of water but actually found skanky baths that all the locals used and you just turned the taps on to fill them with water. It would take, I reckon, about a day to fill one up!!!
I had a room to myself here which was good, it wasn't clean and I had a resident gecko but I didn't mind that as I was banking on him to eat all the bugs - there were thousands in the corridor just outside the room!!
Next day everything seemed a bit more rosy (obviously were slightly tired on arrival!). We went to a butterfly house and I had a massage which I actually cried out in pain when she started my legs coz the muscles hurt that much! Then went for a dip in a cold pool but it had a slippery dip so all good!! Thankfully Nick went down first as it turned out it was only about 2 foot deap at the landing place!! The rest of us was fine!
We also went to see there resisdent Orangutan who came from the trees / fields, oddly when they shouted her name, Jackie, she came and they charged us for the priviledge. We reckon they had her caged up there and it's all a monkey making racket. Sadly she was quite quiet and didn't look too happy, she apparently had a knock to the head and had some brain damage so thought she was human!?
