Thankfully the boat trip back to the mainland was a lot smoother, plus I knocked myself out with drugs I acquired in thailand! We got to the Oragutan Rehabilitation centre for the 10.30am feeding time. It was great to see these semi wild creatures and we had a really good view of quite a few of them, we didn't get quite as close as I hoped but the whole point of the centre is to try and make them wild again after being looked after in the orphanage. We tried to bribe our way into the orphanage but they were having none of it! We also saw a poisonious viper on our way to the feeding platform and it was poised to strike so I sped past that keeping the crazy chinese with their camera's between me and it!!
We went back in the afternoon to see the second viewing but it was quite busy then, it was funny to see the Orangutan's fight the nasty monkeys who were hiding under the platform darting up to grab food now and then!!
In the afternoon we went to see the Probiscious Monkeys, the one's with the big noses (see pic's). This was quite an expensive extra but they were amazing and well worth it, I loved watching these guys they were like funny old men, their noses waggled whilst they ate and they just sat there with their d*** out!! It was the highlight of my trip I think, I had a great afternoon just watching them. I also saw a pied hornbill which is a pretty rare protected bird so was lucky to get a pic of one of those.
We stayed at another stinky B&B where I think I got my dodgy stomach from (un-cooked chicken (!?) not good). In the morning we went on the jungle canopy walk but didn't see much and got drenched!
That night we flew back to Kota Kinabalu.
