today we ventured out into the strange place that is Newcastle. yesterday we noticed a sign for a arts festival at the civic park. it was full of hippies and left wing types, green peace et al, save the world and all that. there were 4 different stands for live music that were really cool with all types of music. we saw a band called iconic that sounded like audio bullys n mylo n we ended up gettin there CD. whilst they were playing loads of hippies were dancing ...

today we went surfing for $25 all day with three English lads we met in Port Macquarie and a Dutch guy we met last night. the waves were pretty big for beginners but well cool n strong! narly dude! we had smaller boards than usual so are skills were tested to the extreme. beki boards was tiny lol the dutch guy was particularly funny as he was trying to catch the waves like a pro and getting wiped out big time much to the amusment of the rest of us. we...

heya we arrived in byron 2nights ago really l8 and crashed out. we woke up to beautiful skys and a wonderful beach. we went up to the cape byron and the lighthouse on a morning walk which took ages but was well worth it. the views and the walk was spectacular. it was mothers day so everyone was out with their familys. we saw a pod of dolfins from the cliffs jumping in and out of the water and managed to get a few hazy pictures of them on the zoom it was just amaz...
