heya we arrived in byron 2nights ago really l8 and crashed out. we woke up to beautiful skys and a wonderful beach. we went up to the cape byron and the lighthouse on a morning walk which took ages but was well worth it. the views and the walk was spectacular. it was mothers day so everyone was out with their familys. we saw a pod of dolfins from the cliffs jumping in and out of the water and managed to get a few hazy pictures of them on the zoom it was just amazing. the stuck around for about 10mins, they even had thier babys with them relaly kule. we then took the clifftop/beach walk back which was lovely, stopping for icecream and a sunbathe. after lunch we hit the beach but as it was under 25oC we were cold! and only lasted till about 3.30 before heading back. afterward we walked to cheeky monkeys 7 days a week backpackers bar where we would get our free meal only to find it wasnt open on sundays !!?? any way we will got ther 2moz. after cheese sandwhiches we made our way down to the lounge cinema to watch capote which was really good. the cinema had deck chairs and loungers with footstools which we lay on. they were all covered in cowskin ( fake) and there were chairs with famous peoples names on! wkd. then had to walk back in the dark..scary as there were loads of hippy people wanting money for dancing or singing... today we are just chilling and may go surfing this afternoon if the weather picks up ( so its warmer than 25oc) so we dnt freeze to death. its amazing how quickly your acclimatise beki n steve xx
