today we ventured out into the strange place that is Newcastle. yesterday we noticed a sign for a arts festival at the civic park. it was full of hippies and left wing types, green peace et al, save the world and all that. there were 4 different stands for live music that were really cool with all types of music. we saw a band called iconic that sounded like audio bullys n mylo n we ended up gettin there CD. whilst they were playing loads of hippies were dancing hippie stlylie a la 1969 and in front of them were a bunch of moody goths who were budging it was well funny. overall it was a different and very enjoyable day. newcastle i must say is quite a strange place where everyone is trying to be 'alternative' and it is very British/ industrial. gonna chill 2night before we head to Pauline and Keith's (Sydney) in the mornin.
